We partnered with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Nebraska & Iowa Chapter for our 2018, 2019 and 2021 Vantage Design & Construction Golf Tournament. We invited our contractors, industry partners, local businesses and fellow builders to join us for a fun day of golf and a reception. We are looking forward to doing it again this summer and all proceeds from this event will be donated at the 2023 Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Night of Champions Gala.
In September 2017, our son Jake was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. He was 11 years old at the time, weighed 60 pounds and was in an incredible amount of pain. He had basically stopped growing because his body was not getting any nutrients for quite a while.
We went to see a fantastic pediatric GI doctor at Boys Town National Research Hospital who pushed us to the right medication for Jake and now he is doing great. We are so thankful for the research, doctors and treatments that are available now. Events like this really do provide help for others out there like Jake.
We have spent a lot of time with doctors, specialists, other parents and individuals with this disease. Since then, we always try to educate and involve ourselves in any type of fundraising, research or activities that will help with increasing awareness and research of this disease.
