At Vantage we offer genuine custom homes, with the ability to generate plans and prints created specifically for you, the client…or the convenience of adapting an existing plan to suit. We strive to be as transparent as possible when it comes to the cost of your new home. Trying to guess what costs will be or what details are included takes the fun out of the building process. When you build with Vantage what you see IS what you get…those appliances? Included. The garage door openers? Included…And for EVERY door, not just the big one. Sprinklers, sod, and landscaping too?  YES

We’re not the biggest builder, or the fanciest builder, and we’re sure not the oldest builder… At Vantage our goal is to be the BEST builder. Period.

Vantage Design & Construction is a very detailed company in every way.  Inside the home you will see old world details such as plinth blocks, window sills, crown molding, wainscoting, and much more.   Outside the home the details include exposed cedar corbels, planter boxes, custom shutters, stone, brick and stucco.  Details continue with the planning and layout of the home, cost control procedures, selection choices and customer care.

Our Process

Vantage Design & Construction will include you in every step of the new home building process.  Here are a few details of the key meetings during our process.

INITIAL DESIGN MEETINGS:  If you are coming to us with just ideas of what your dream home will be, this is where we start.  We will sit down at one of our models and take your thoughts and put them to paper.  Here we can plot out your dream home and get a basic design to start from.  We will determine general room sizes and locations, special features you are looking for, design details, elevations, and your must have list.  This will generally take a few meetings to get the plans to a point where we can move to the next step.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING:  Once we have a plan to work from and a lot to build on, this will be our final review of the plan before it goes out to our subcontractors.  We will review the floor plan, electrical plan, how the house will sit on the lot, processes and procedures, and what to expect when building.  We will go over a general schedule and review your selections.

PREDRYWALL MEETING:  Just before drywall goes up, we will meet at the house and review the home.  We will go over outlet placements, tv and phone locations, progress of the house and what is coming next.  The main purpose of this meeting is to make sure everything is in it proper location before it gets covered up with drywall.

WALK THRU MEETING:  Along the way, the Vantage crew will be touching up items here and there, but it is always best to have another pair of eyes on the house before you move in.  This meeting will be your chance to walk thru the home and ask questions, point out imperfections, and get a tour of your new home.  The builder will also walk you thru all of the important items of your home and make sure you know what they are and how to use them.

OPEN DOOR POLICY  We welcome you to stop out and see your home as its being built at any time.  We are not trying to hide anything and welcome your feedback.  We do, however, lock the home at a certain stage of construction, so a simple phone call to the builder will get you in.
